The Cinderella Project is run solely by volunteers – there are no paid employees. Volunteers come from a diverse range of backgrounds and each brings a different set of unique skills and experiences to the project. It is our policy to give returning volunteers the first opportunity to volunteer again. A core group of approximately 10 volunteers oversee the day-to-day operations of the program. Throughout the year, including Boutique Day, more than 425 volunteers including hairstylists, makeup artists, disc jockeys, seamstresses, tailors, photographers, and fairy godmothers and godfathers gather to create a memorable experience for our students.
To date, Cinderella Project volunteers have contributed over 310,000 hours!
We are grateful to so many from the community who are currently volunteering with us and waiting to volunteer. We generally have two volunteer opportunities per year – our Grad Celebration Event, usually held in February or March, and a Care Bag event in December. We do occasionally have other needs for volunteers and may send out ad hoc emails asking for volunteers at other times throughout the year.
