More Ways to Donate

The Cinderella Project is a federally registered charity (Registered Canadian Charitable Organization Business Number 86666 0699 RR0001), and your cash or in-kind donation can be fully tax deductible. We would be pleased to issue a tax receipt for the value of all goods or funds donated (over $25). For a tax receipt to be issued for goods, they must be new and accompanied by an original invoice or receipt.

At The Cinderella Project, we believe every student deserves the chance to succeed—not just through high school, but beyond. Our Achievement Awards help students overcome financial barriers and give them the confidence to pursue post-secondary education or training programs.

Each year, we are able to provide awards to a growing number of students. All award applicants get a scholarship or bursary, ranging from $100 book awards to full tuition. To date, we’ve gifted over $400,000 in support! Thank you to the Bright Futures Education Fund, they have provided six full tuition scholarships to date!

Many students we support aren’t eligible for traditional scholarships, and our Achievement Awards are designed to meet their unique needs. Past funding has helped students with childcare for school, tools for trades, and adaptive technology for distance learning.

Thanks to your generosity, students are now pursuing education at schools such as Langara, BCIT, SFU, UBC, McGill, UofT, UVIC, VCC, CapU, Emily Carr, Ryerson, MIT, UBCO, Queens and many more. Your support not only helps students stay in school—it opens doors to a brighter future!

In-Kind Donations:

Thank you for thinking of The Cinderella Project! In-kind donations help us provide graduating students with modern, event-appropriate attire and thoughtful personal items while reducing the amount we need to purchase.

Because our storage space is limited, please email donateitems@thecinderellaproject.com before dropping off a donation. Please include a brief description of the items, their sizes and, when possible, photographs.

Our Highest-Priority Needs

 Modern Formal Dresses

• Our greatest need is for dresses in very small sizes (00–2) and extended sizes (14+).
• Dresses should be modern, appropriate for graduation or another special event, freshly cleaned and in excellent condition.
• Please check carefully for stains, odours, broken zippers, pulls or other damage.

 Evening Shoes

• For dresses (sizes larger than 10 or smaller than 6 are most needed)
• For suits – all sizes, classic styles preferred  New or like-new condition only

 Suits and Event Dresswear

• Modern suits and separates suitable for graduation, celebrations and formal events.
• We especially welcome tuxedo-inspired, colourful, patterned, velvet or double-breasted suits; interesting lapels; and coordinating vests. Men’s or women’s suits are welcome.
• Standard business or office suits are less useful unless they have a modern style that can be worn to a special event.
• All items must be clean and in excellent condition.

 Undergarments & Socks

• NEW underwear – all sizes (bras, boxers, briefs, undershirts)
• NEW socks – casual and black dress socks

Dress Shirts

• Modern dress shirts in all sizes.
• White, solid-colour and patterned shirts are welcome.
• Shirts must be new or like new, with no stains, discolouration, worn collars or missing buttons.

 Formal and Dress Shoes

• Low-heeled or flat shoes to wear with dresses, in all sizes.
• Event-appropriate dress shoes to wear with suits, particularly sizes 6–8 and 12.5+.
• Shoes must be new or like new, clean and in excellent condition.

 Grooming Supplies for Suit Zone

• NEW, UNOPENED hair gel, body wash, deodorant, shave cream, shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes, combs

Additional Current Needs

Clothing and Accessories

• New black dress belts, especially sizes under 32 and sizes 46+
• Clip-on earrings and other modern, event-appropriate jewelry
• New gender-affirming undergarments in all sizes
• New underwear, bras, boxers, briefs, undershirts and dress socks

Hair, Makeup and Grooming Supplies

All personal-care products must be new and unopened.

• Blush and concealer in an inclusive range of shades
• Hairspray, styling gel and products suitable for a variety of hair types and textures
• Hairbrushes, combs, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaving cream

Small Gifts – gift cards, cosmetic bags, and more

Student Comfort Bags

We welcome approximately 250 students to our Graduation Celebration and Boutique Days. Each student receives a bag filled with practical and thoughtful items. Current needs include:

• New, neutral-style backpacks
• Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion
• Toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash
• Menstrual products
• Individually packaged, non-perishable snacks and treats
• Gift cards for groceries, clothing, transportation or other essentials

Sensory and Wellness Items

• Journals and sketchbooks
• Colouring supplies
• Fidget toys and stress balls
• New earplugs or other portable sensory-support items

Donate your Car

Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for The Cinderella Project. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to The Cinderella Project through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for The Cinderella Project to benefit.
